Adolescent Acne with Dr. Leisha

Adolescence is a time of significant hormonal change, and acne is a common skin condition that can significantly impact a young person’s self-esteem and wellbeing. Dr. Leisha understands the challenges associated with adolescent acne and is here to provide comprehensive and personalised care to her patients.

Acne occurs when hair follicles become clogged with oil and dead skin cells. Hormonal fluctuations, genetics, diet, and stress can all play a role. Dr Leisha provides a range of services to effectively manage adolescent acne including a thorough examination during the assessment and diagnosis phase, a personalised treatment plan and guidance throughout the process to ensure optimal outcomes.

If you or your teenager is struggling with acne, don’t hesitate to schedule an appointment. Dr Leisha is committed to providing compassionate and effective care to help her patients achieve clearer, healthier skin.

Menopause with Dr. Leisha

Menopause is a natural biological process marking the end of a woman’s reproductive years. It’s a significant life transition that can bring about various physical and emotional changes.

Perimenopause, the transition period leading up to menopause, can last several years and is characterised by fluctuating hormone levels, leading to a range of symptoms. In Australia, the average age of menopause is around 51 years.

Dr Leisha provides comprehensive and compassionate care to help her patients navigate this stage of life with confidence. She understands that every woman’s experience of perimenopause and menopause is unique, and she works with her patients to develop a personalised management plan that addresses their specific needs and preferences.

Please note that you are required to make a long appointment for your consultation so Dr Leisha can get to know you, prioritise your current concerns, and formulate an ongoing preventative health plan.  Dr Leisha is also available for mental health, long-standing and multiple related symptoms. For appointments that run 15 minutes and under, you will be charged the regular appointment time.

Dr Leisha currently works four days a week. In her personal life, she is passionate about health and fitness and loves exploring new places with her husband and two young children.
