ADHD Assessments

Starting December 1st, 2025, the Specialist GPs at QSMC are pleased to offer comprehensive Adult ADHD assessments in line with the latest Queensland legislative changes and Australian evidence-based guidelines.

These appointments provide a supportive environment for patients to explore the possibility of an ADHD diagnosis and, if appropriate, begin treatment under the care of Specialist GPs with advanced training in ADHD management—without the need for a psychiatrist referral.

What to expect:

• The assessment process typically involves 3–4 appointments, allowing your doctor to thoroughly understand your symptoms and complete all necessary evaluations before determining the best course of action.
• Please note: An assessment does not automatically guarantee a diagnosis or treatment. Your doctor will outline each step during your initial visit and answer any questions you may have.

Fees:

• Initial assessment (45 min): $425 (Medicare rebate: $125.10)
• Follow-up appointments (30 min): $198 (Medicare rebate: $84.90)
• A $100 deposit is required when booking your initial appointment.
