An intravenous (IV) iron infusion is a procedure where iron medication is administered into your vein via a cannula. Iron infusions are a quick, effective procedure to treat iron deficiency anaemia and chronic conditions that can cause low iron levels. Doctors consulting from Queen St Medical Centre offer iron infusions (Ferinject) to eligible patients. Please book an initial consultation with your GP to discuss if this treatment if the right choice for you.

 Medication

Please note the medication for infusion is not included in the fees listed above. The medication must be purchased from a pharmacy prior to your infusion appointment. A prescription from your doctor will be supplied at your initial consultation. Please then bring the medication to your scheduled appointment.

All fees are to be paid at the completion of consultation with your GP. If you require any further information please contact our practice manager or discuss with your GP prior to booking in for an iron infusion.
